January Favourites 2016

It's the first monthly favourite of 2016! 2015 absolutely flew by. It will be December favourites again before you know it!
As always I'll show you my beauty favourites that I've been loving this month.

*Eyeshadow Colour in the Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 Palette
I included this in my favourites because I've been using one specific colour for literally the whole month. It's a really nice bronze shimmery colour suitable for a neutral makeup look. The colour is so pigmented and lasts throughout the day. As this eyeshadow palette is a dupe of the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette I used the colour YDK.

*Kate Moss Lipstick 38
I watched Zoella's video of her favourites of 2015 (watch here) and she mentioned a lipstick that really caught my eye. I decided to purchase it and I've fallen in love with it. I wear it pretty much every day.

*Tanya Burr Cosmetics Macaroon Lip Gloss
I love this lip gloss for the reason that it goes so well with the Kate Moss 38 lipstick.

*Revlon Photo Ready Airbrush Effect Foundation 001 Ivory
I started using this foundation because I wanted to try something new. I watched Tanya Burr's video of her Christmas Party Revlon look (which you can watch here). I love using this foundation more than the other foundation I was using so I'll probably continue to use this until I decide to change to another one.

*Revlon Photo Ready Perfecting Primer 001
With the foundation, of course, I chose to purchase the primer. I never really wore primers before because I never really knew which one to go for but seeing as the Revlon foundation was really good I thought I might as well purchase the primer as well!

*Tanya Burr Cosmetics Rosy Flush Cheek Palette
I've been using this cheek palette a lot. I just think it's really good for a natural everyday look. I use the Beach Bronze bronzer, which you can find in any of her palettes that include a bronzer and also the Oyster Shell highlighter. I haven't so much been using the blusher yet. I feel like I'd do more of that in the Spring/Summer.

And that's my favourites for this month. I hope you enjoyed reading them.
I made a new blog header! Do you love it?!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I shall see you in my next post,

Bath & Body Works and Sephora Haul

This is a really exciting post for me. It's the first time I've bought anything from Bath & Body Works and Sephora so I was really excited and I couldn't wait to show you all what I got.
My sister's friend went to America and managed to pick up what I asked for which I'm really grateful for. Bath & Body Works sadly don't ship to the UK so I was happy that she went there for me.

It's a small haul, but as it was my first purchase in both places, I wanted to try a few products first before I probably buy the entire shop!

Here's what I got...

Bath & Body Works

*Mango Dragon Fruit Small Candle
*PocketBac Best Friends Berry Friendly Hand Gel
*PocketBac Iced White Pomegranate Hand Gel

I've always wanted to purchase something from Bath & Body Works. I've seen Zoella do her hauls and fell in love with all the pretty candles she got. I watch Mere on Stilababe09 showing her hand sanitizers that she's got and how lovely they smell so I really wanted to get my hands on them.
Looking on the Bath & Body Works website at the candles I was being really careful as to what one I chose. I really wanted to choose a lovely scented candle but I'm someone that has to smell candles before I buy them so in this situation that wasn't the case. I went for a small candle with a scent that you probably couldn't go wrong with, which is Mango Dragon Fruit, when I got it I opened it up to have a sniff and fell in love straight away! Even just leaving the lid off, it has such a powerful smell that you probably wouldn't  even have to light it which is good because I won't have to worry about it burning out at the end.
Mere seems to have a lot of hand sanitizers and even Zoella has a few so I asked for any scent as long as it wasn't cinnamon! I'm not a cinnamon fan. The ones I received smell absolutely divine! Now I know what the big hype is all about. My favourite one to use in the Best Friends Berry Friendly hand gel.

*Too Faced Natural Eyes Neutral Eyeshadow Collection Palette
*Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Juicy Melons

I've always wanted to try the makeup brand Too Faced. I chose the neutral eyeshadow palette because I thought it looked pretty and I thought it was best to stick to the neutral colours just in case I didn't like it. I've used it now and I love it!
I was a bit hesitant as to what colour lipstick to choose. There are so many to choose from! I decided to choose Juicy Melons for a couple of reasons, one being that I thought I should try a different colour to what I'd normally pick as I have so many shades of lipsticks that are pink and red that I thought a nice pink coral colour would be perfect especially in the Summer. It was a choice between Spice Spice Baby (a pinky brown colour) and I was really intrigued with the Marshmallow Bunny (marshmallow pink colour) so these colours are probably the ones that I will get next.

And that's what I got. I'm happy with every item and product I purchased. Thank you Loti!
If you are from the UK and know a place in the UK that sells Bath & Body Works, maybe on eBay or something, please let me know! I would love to check them out. Thank you in advance.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I shall see you in my next post,

OOTN - Meal with the Girls

I think I'm becoming on point with the outfit posts so let's keep this up! In this post I thought I'd share with you what I wore to my friends birthday meal.

My friend Evan is also a blogger and you can find her here... TheCornerstoneForThoughts
For Evan's birthday we went to a really nice Beefeater Restaurant with a few of her friends and it was really nice to catch up with them as I hadn't seen a couple of them in a while.

Here's what I wore...

*Dress - New Look
*Black Tights
*Heeled Boots - River Island

I love this swing dress immensely. It's a lovely grey colour which makes it suitable to wear in Autumn and Winter. I love dressing this outfit in many ways from casual to smart casual. I absolutely adore my boots, I can't stop wearing them!

*Dangle Earrings - Forever 21
*Square Crystal Earrings - Multi Pack from Claire's Accessories

I also wore my two Nomination Italia bracelets, my Thomas Sabo bracelet, my white watch and also my silver necklace as well.

We all had a fantastic time!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you in my next post,

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Makeup Look

I am a huge fan of Tanya Burr, she is a massive inspiration to me. When she released her new beauty range I just had to get my hands on everything she released (near enough anyway). In today's post I thought I would share with you a makeup look I did with mostly all her products. I also got to use one of her limited edition beauty essential palette from her Christmas range as well so that was pretty exciting. It's a beautiful palette.

For sneaky previews before I upload posts follow my Instagram here > @jessicarachelxo

As Tanya Burr doesn't have a full makeup range. I used my Revlon Photo Ready PrimerRevlon Photo Ready Airbrush Effect Foundation in IvoryCollection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer and Collection Pressed Powder 01 Candlelight. I also used my L'Oreal Paris Super Liner in black.

Now for the fun part!

For my cheeks I used the Rosy Flush Cheek Palette. I applied the Beach Bronze to define my cheeks and Oyster Shell to give a little highlight to my face.

For my eyebrows I used the Perfect Brows kit. I didn't use the small brush that comes in the kit as I preferred to use my own. I used Hot Cocoa to outline my brows and used Chestnut to give my brows a bit more definition, I then used Pebble to fill in my brows just to make them look thicker. Using a rounded brush I then used Fairy Cake to highlight under my brows and slightly at the top.

For my eyes I used the Candy Glam Beauty Essentials Palette from the Christmas Range 2015. I used Ballet Slippers as a nice base colour, I applied this all over my lid and faded it up to my brow bone. I then used Teddy Bear and applied that to my eyelids blending outwards. To add more of an effect to my eyes I applied Starry Night to the outer corner of my eyes and blended it in. This created a soft nude effect.

I applied my eyeliner and then applied Tanya Burr's stunning lashes that I can't stop wearing. They make your eyes stand out so well. I got these in her 12 days advent calendar.

For my lips I applied the lip gloss that I also got in her advent calendar called Bewitching. I've been wearing this lip gloss quite a lot and I thought it went well with this look.

And that's my look created with Tanya Burr's cosmetics. The products are beautiful, from the packaging to wearing it.
If you want to see me try her other products and do another look let me know in the comments what you'd like to see. I had so much fun putting this post together.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you in my next one,

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette

After purchasing my first Urban Decay products I was so excited to share with you what I thought about them. As I've been using the Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette more, I thought that it would be best for me to review this palette first.

This limited edition eyeshadow palette was created by Gwen Stefani and Urban Decay. Gwen wanted colours that she has always dreamed to have in her makeup collection and she got her wish!

I thought I'd start off with packaging as that's the first thing I saw before I opened the palette. I thought the eyeshadow palette was well packed and I loved the red polka dots inside the packaging, however the white and chrome gold was a bit off putting. I still love the product, but trying to read the back of the packaging was hard because the light kept reflecting off of it which made it difficult to read, but then again you don't really have to read it if you don't want to.

Sample Lipsticks

In my palette I received four samples of her lipsticks as well. I've yet to try these but the colours are Rock Steady, 714, Ex-Girlfriend and Firebird. They are either cream, sheer or matte. I must say I am very excited to try them out. Gwen Stefani is definitely a lover of vibrant colours and I love a vibrant lipstick so this will hopefully be right up my street!

As for the palette itself, it looks amazing. It's been designed so well that it takes my breath away and I can't even find words to describe it. Gwen designed the case which was inspired by her love for black and white graphic prints and antique gold accents. On the mirror is an inspiring quote saying 'Magic's In The Makeup' It just sounds really intriguing. I was also amazed to find the colours weren't as vibrant as I thought but they are a range of nudes, golds and taupes which are either shimmery or matte. I like this as I can include some of these colours in an everyday makeup look. However I'm not too sure about Harajuku or Danger, but I'm sure I'll find a time at some point where I can wear them. I think all of these colours came out a lot nicer than I thought. I think the names of the shades are very appropriate as they are inspired by her songs. My favourite shade will probably have to be either Stark or Pop. Stark is a matte nude/pink colour and Pop is a shimmery pale coral colour with iridescent sparkle, which makes them both perfect to wear everyday. I can't wait to try more looks with these colours.

What do you think about this palette?

I'm really motivated with doing more makeup related posts and more excitingly fashion posts! If you have anything you'd recommend for me to try and do a review on let me know in the comments below :)
