March Favourites 2016

I hope you all had a lovely Easter! I can't believe how quickly March has gone but I guess I say that about every month haha. For this months favourites it's mostly makeup. I've purchased quite a few newbies which I'm planning to do reviews on. I plan to do a haul first to show you what I've got and then I'll do a review on the products you chose. If you follow me on Instagram you'll get to see more of what I purchase. Follow me > @jessicarachelxo

My Favourites...

* Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Daydream and Lunch Date
I can't stress how much I love Tanya Burr's lip gloss'. I can happily say that I have them all now. I've managed to get a few more bits off my wishlist now. You can see what I've got here. I'm loving these two lip glosses because they are really nice nude colours. Lunch Date is a tone darker than Daydream but both are subtle and nice to wear when you are going for a natural everyday look.

*The Body Shop Highlighting Pearls
I wasn't planning to get this. I'm not really someone who purchases The Body Shop makeup as I love their bath products more. I've only had this product for probably a week now and for it to end up in my March favourites at the last minute means that it's done a pretty good job! Bearing in mind it was £16.00 down to £3.00 so yes! Of course! How can you say no to that?! I used it the next day and wow! I was really impressed. I'm not even a fan of pearls because I find them messy and if you drop them then it's even more of a bigger mess, but honestly I really like this product!

*Clinique Nude Pop
Who else bought more than one issue of the Glamour Mag when Tanya Burr was featured in it? Because I certainly did! I've never tried any Clinique makeup products before until I purchased about 3 Glamour Mags and got introduced to a little sample size lipstick called Nude Pop and two other sample size products. I adore this lipstick because it's the perfect nude colour (it also goes well with Daydream and Lunch Date!) I hadn't been wearing it for a while until Tanya Burr mentioned it in one of her recent videos which made me want to start using it more. I love how long lasting it is as well.

*Makeup Revolution What You Waiting For? Eyeshadow Palette
I think I mention Makeup Revolution a lot on my blog haha but I love their makeup so much that I've actually dedicated them a draw in my dressing table because I have so much of their makeup. Recently I've been using the What You Waiting For? Eyeshadow palette a lot. There's one shade in particular that I've really liked using called 'We Love You' it's a really nice eyeshadow to highlight under the brow bone and in the tear duct area. Even if I decide not to use this palette, I will still always use 'We Love You' to highlight the areas. The palette itself has a variety of colours that are easy to work with and aren't too bold.
I've actually made an order off their website so keep an eye out for a haul post! You can follow my bloglovin' to keep updated > Jessica Rachel.

And that's all the products that I've been loving this month.
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and I shall see you in my next post,

Freedom Makeup - Vamp Lipstick Collection

If you read my wishlist post you'll know that I wanted the little set of five lipsticks. Well I can tell you that I now have 15 haha!
I managed to get the one on my cosmetics wishlist which I was really impressed with. I then went to Makeup Revolution's 2nd birthday party and found Freedom makeup there. The little packs of lipsticks were on display and I fell in love with a few other sets of lipsticks.
The one I want to show you is called Vamp. My friend and I fell in love with one specific colour and the other colours looked amazing to. I can't wait to get the other sets.
I also think the packaging is so cute to the point I can't chuck it away!

The Lipsticks

All sets have five lipsticks which are average size just for £5.00! This set is a collection of deep purples and black. I really love wearing a dark lip shade through Winter, and even though Winter has finally gone, I still love to wear a purply lip colour.
The Vamp set includes the colours; Pure Vamp, Vamp Noir, Dusk Till Dawn, Dark Paradise and Intense Noir. The colour my friend and I really love is Dusk Till Dawn. As you can tell by my swatches it's a nice plum colour. I've been using this one quite a lot recently. My next favourite is Dark Paradise. This colour is really nice as it's that perfect dark plum colour. I find Vamp Noir and Pure Vamp quite similar in colour only Vamp Noir is slightly darker. They are a purply red colour which remind me of Autumn. Last but not least there's Intense Noir, which is probably not my most favourite colour lipstick to use. I always find black a bit too bold on the lips and a bit dramatic, but with the perfect makeup look it stands out fine.

These lipsticks are amazing. I'm definitely going to look into purchasing the other sets that I don't have. These are definitely a must have in your makeup collection. Head over to my Instagram @jessicarachelxo where you'll see more makeup photos of mine and be sure to follow to keep up to date!

My First Lush Bath Bomb

I've finally tried my first ever Lush bath bomb! There is no reason as to why I've never tried these bath bombs before. In the house we live in we only have a walk in shower. I was getting to the point where I just really wanted to give it a go and I wasn't going to let my shower stop me from having this experience! I ended up down at my nans house and using her bath haha! It was so worth it!

I went into Lush with my friend Valentina and she was showing me the ones she's tried and loves. I couldn't decide what to get so I ended up getting two bath bombs. I haven't tried the other one yet but the first one I tried was Frozen. It just stood out to me more than the others did. It smelt of grapefruit and tunisian neroli which was lovely.

The bath water turned blue which I thought looked pretty. It was like I was swimming in the Maldives. I also noticed bits of glitter in the water as well which looked amazing. It felt so relaxed and my skin felt so smooth and soft and surprisingly I wasn't as glittery as I thought I'd be when I got out, in fact I wasn't glittery at all, you could only see the odd sparkle of glitter which made me happy.

I had so much fun experiencing Lush bath bombs for the first time. I'm going to continue to use them until I can use them no more haha

What's your favourite Lush bath bomb?

Can't wait to try them! I hope you enjoyed this post and I shall see you in my next post,

Makeup Revolution's 2nd Birthday

Being invited to birthday parties are always fun, but being invited to a makeup brands birthday party was probably the most amazing experience of my life! Especially Makeup Revolution being my favourite makeup brand. I can't thank them enough for inviting me and my friend Valentina.

So here's a blog post about the night :)

Outfit

* Sparkly Dress - New Look
* Leather Jacket - Forever 21
* Shoes - New Look
* Bag - River Island
Necklace - Forever 21

Before The Event...

We arrived in London at around lunch time. The event didn't start until 4pm so this gave us time to walk around London. We had a list of places to go and the first stop was Buckingham Palace. We had to pass Buckingham Palace on the way to the event anyway but we stopped to take some photos. We got there when they were changing the guard, so there was a big parade in the street which was nice to watch. Once that had cleared we carried on walking. It was a half hour walk which wasn't too bad. The place was easy to find as well so after we found the place and with the few hours we had remaining before the event we decided to have a look around. We walked through China Town, had a look around M&M World and had a little walk around Covent Garden. Everything was in good distance.

At The Event...

We came back to the event in good time just in case there was a queue. Once we were let in and put our bags into the cloakroom we walked through to the event. There was a backdrop 'I helped make the revolution' so we took a selfie with that and then the camera man decided to take a photo of us as well! We walked on through where we got given a soda water and mint drink which was nice and then we carried on down the stairs into the stage area where all the products were on tables. Everything looked amazing! Makeup Revolution, Freedom and I <3 Makeup all looked amazing. I was excited to see Superdrug's stand as well.
The drop in session lasted a couple of hours and we had fun using their GIFGIF photo booth in that time. They had props to hold which made it even more fun and the results were hilarious. I posted one on my Instagram @jessicarachelxo go check it out!
Afternoon tea was delicious. We got offered a variety of small snacks from small bagels, sandwiches and fish bites. Dessert was of course my favourite! Brownies and creme brulee! And let's not forget the cocktails!
Time had passed quickly and it was time for the big announcement. Adam Minto a.k.a Mr Makeup made a touching, breath taking speech. He cried, I cried.
Sadly we weren't notified about goody bags so we never got them :(

I want to say a massive congratulations to Adam for all his hard work. You're a massive inspiration and show that dreams really do come true if you work hard for them. I will never forget this day I met you and of course your dog Blondie ;) Thank you for inviting me and my friend. It was an honour to attend your party, it's definitely one I will never forget. Congratulations again and good luck for further projects you plan! They will be amazing and you already have my support for them!

I hope you enjoyed reading my post and I'll see you in my next post,

Cosmetics Wishlist 2016

I can't remember the last time I did a wishlist but I've decided to do more of them. In this post I decided to do the cosmetics that I hope to own this year.

My Wishlist...

* Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
* Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Marshmallow Bunny
* Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Spice Spice Baby
* Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette
✓ Tanya Burr Everyday Flutter Lashes
✓ Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Brush Set
* Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Blusher
Mac Gold Glitter Eyeshadow
✓ Tanya Burr Just Peachy Lip Gloss
✓ Freedom Now Lipstick Collection

Too Faced Makeup

I really want to try these products. I'm excited about the launch of the Peanut Butter and Jelly eyeshadow palette by Too Faced. The shade of colours they have look amazing. I want to try more of the La Creme lipsticks because as you well know I already have one which I love so I want to try other shades and I quite like the neutral pink shades of these two colours Marshmallow Bunny and Spice Spice Baby.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics

I've decided that I want to try Tanya Burrs Everyday Flutter Lashes as it will be different to the ones that I am used to. I find her lashes really comfortable to wear and of good quality. So I'll definitely will pick these up when I'm next out. I'll also pick up her lip gloss Just Peachy. I have pretty much her whole collection but this one will complete the collection.

Makeup Revolution

I'm slowly becoming drawn to the whole rose gold effect. I wasn't that fond of it at first but some things are acceptable, like these Makeup Revolution makeup brushes. They look so beautiful and I think they will go really nice on my new dressing table which I've now put up. I've definitely got my eyes on these brushes! I also want to try the Blushing Hearts blusher because everything about this product looks pretty.

Mac

Everyone loves a bit of glitter in their lives. I've been loving all the looks people have been creating with glitter eyeshadows. I just love how glittery your eyes become. I'd like to try the gold glitter as I have dark brown eyes and it makes my eyes look better and warmer. Here's a few examples I found online... BEAUTIFUL.

Freedom

I've noticed this brand has popped up in a couple of stores that I've been visiting lately and I want to try their products to see if they are any good. I found this set of lipsticks for £5, which I thought was really good and affordable. I'll be looking into them more and probably will try their products so let's see what they have to offer!

And those are the few things I have on my cosmetics wishlist so far. I hope I get to try a majority of these products.
I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you in my next post,
