October Favourites 2015

It's that time of month again. October has been a hectic month, to the fact that I was so drawn into planning all these Halloween post around my days off from work that I almost completely forgot about doing the October Favourites! But tomorrow is the last day and I can finally relax and enjoy the days to come towards my birthday.

Here are this months favourites

*Sure Maximum Protection Stress Control Deodorant
This is by far my all time favourite product now. When Carrie Fletcher (YouTube video and channel ItsWayPastMyBedTime) was talking about this in a vlog, just the way Carrie was describing it made me want to try it out to see if it was all that worth it. I was blown away. This deodorant has maximum strength wetness protection, which is 100% true, I'm someone who gets self conscious about sweating but honestly I've been using this deodorant for quite some time and I've felt more confident about myself. I no longer worry about sweating. It's a really good product.

*Tanya Burr Bambi Eyelashes
They weren't in the packet when I took this photo as I had them on. I'm not really a false eyelash  person, if I was to ever wear false eyelashes they would have to look natural. I came across Tanya Burr's Bambi eyelashes and thought they looked natural enough for me. The first time I tried them on was for my last minute Halloween makeup ideas which you can view here. They are so comfortable to wear and I can't even feel them on my eyes so they don't irritate me like other eyelashes I've tried. I've been including them in my everyday makeup routine now and actually bought another set because I love them so much!

*Tanya Burr Hollywood Eyeshadow Palette
This eyeshadow palette is extremely popular and can be hard to find as it's always out of stock. I managed to find it and buy it there and then before I didn't have the chance to ever buy it again. I love all the colours inside. Out of all the eyeshadow palettes that Tanya's made I'd probably say that this one is the one I use most. The gold tones are very neutral and it's perfect for this time of year.

*Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette - Give Them Nightmares
This eyeshadow palette was a must have this halloween and I just managed to pick one up in my local Superdrug store. The palette has twelve shimmer shades and six matte shades that are super pigmented. I used this palette for my Halloween makeup this year which you will see in my next post, it's a little bit different to the leopard.

*Nivea Creme
This moisturiser is my absolute favourite. Compared to ones I've originally used, I feel that you can feel the effects more with this one. I feel moisturised throughout the whole day. It is a small tin but you can buy bigger tubs which I may have to do when the small one runs out.

And that's all my October favourites for you. I hope you enjoyed reading this post.
Halloween is tomorrow!! I will be posting my Halloween outfit post tomorrow so make sure you follow all the links at the bottom of this post so you know when I've posted and keep up to date with my blog.

Halloween Last Minute Makeup Ideas - Leopard

Did someone say Halloween makeup?! The best part of Halloween is the makeup side of things. It really brings out your outfit more. In this post I decided to show you a look that is probably very popular in the blogging world but then again is really simple for last minute outfit put together.

In terms of what I used all you really need is makeup. I didn't use any sort of paint but if you have paint then you can still use that.

What I used
*Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream
*Make Up Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer
*Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation
*Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder
*Make Up Revolution Highlighter
*Models Own Eyeliner
*L'oreal Paris Super Liner Eyeliner
*Make Up Revolution Amazing Volume Mascara
*Make Up Revolution Lipstick 100% Vamp
*Tanya Burr Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette (snowflake)
*Make Up Revolution Eyeshadow Palette Iconic 2 and 3 (black and gold)

This look is so easy to create as you can tell. I applied the concealer, foundation and powder as normal. Once I had done that I highlighted the area under my nose where the whiskers would go. I then applied the highlighter under my bottom eyelashes. I then used Tanya Burr's Snowflake eyeshadow colour to apply all over my eyelid. Once that is done you can then apply eyeliner to your eyes, nose and outline the lips. I used the Models Own eyeliner to underline the bottom lash line, draw on my nose and to outline the lips. I then used L'oreal Paris Super Liner Eyeliner to do my top lids (you can go crazy here, if you find that you aren't confident with eyeliner, just relax, you can go as bold as you like so messing up won't be a problem) I then used the same eyeliner to draw small little whisker dots on the mouth. I applied Tanya Burr's Bambi false eyelashes and applied Make Up Revolution Amazing Volume Mascara to my bottom lashes. My eyes really stood out! I then applied the gold eyeshadow in the Make Up Revolution Iconic 3 eyeshadow palette and literally just dotted anywhere on my face and some down my neck, I then used an angled brush and used the black in the Make Up Revolution Iconic 2 eyeshadow palette to outline the gold marks to make it look like a leopard print and dotted random black dots in places to make it a bit more effective. Once that was done I applied the Make Up Revolution 100% Vamp lipstick to finish the look and of course sprayed the Make Up Revolution Pro Fix Fixing Spray to fix my makeup into place and to last throughout the day.

And that's how I achieved this look. Makeup Revolution is definitely one of my favourite makeup brands, I'm always browsing their ranges in all my nearest Superdrug stores. They're really good and last a long time and are really affordable!

I hope you enjoyed this Halloween post! I can't believe my birthday is coming up in just over a week! What?! I'm so excited :D
I hope you have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,

DIY Jewellery Project Kit from Jewellery Maker

I was contacted by the lovely people of Jewellery Maker to try out one of their bracelet making kits. I agreed to try one of their Jewellery Project Kits and to share my experience with you guys!

I chose to make the silver beaded bracelet. You can find the exact same one here or visit the Jewellery Project Kits page for more bracelet designs and colours. They are an affordable price and will make a great gift for any occasion.
This bracelet is absolutely adorable and the heart charm really finishes the look.

When I received the box, I opened it to find the
*50x round beads 8mm
*10x Jumprings 6mm
*Toggle clasp rope effect round 16mm and bar 26mm
*Heart charms 12mm
*2x crimp beads
*2x crimp covers
*Set of instructions

Everything is well laid out on the instruction form. Straight after reading what the set includes it then gives you a small list of things you will need, such as:
*Beading Thread
*Flat Nose Pliers
*Wire Cutting Pliers
*Crimping Tool

Once I had everything together I was ready to start making the bracelet. The instructions were fairly straightforward and are also pictured as well. There was only 5 steps and it was easy to do. It came out beautifully!

This is definitely one of my favourite bracelets now.
Jewellery Maker also do more DIY sets on their website http://www.jewellerymaker.com/en-gb/ it's worth checking out. They have so many things that you can make.
Jewellery Maker was founded in 2010 and is part of a family owned business 'The Genuine Gemstone Company'.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you Jewellery Maker for giving me the opportunity to do this, I will be wearing this bracelet a lot now!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I shall see you in my next post,

Halloween Buys

Halloween isn't that far away and it's always fun to dress up and look scary for the evening, but sometimes we don't have time, or we have to work on the evening. In this post I decided to share with you some cute accessories you can wear on Halloween if you aren't dressing up.

Halloween Accessories

These are a few bits I found online. I love browsing the seasonal things online, especially at Christmas. On Halloween I like to keep the theme going throughout the whole day, so during the day I wear Halloween accessories and then towards the evening go full out on my outfit! That way I'm all Halloweeny all day and I love it.

I hope this post gives you a few ideas on what accessories you could wear for Halloween if you aren't dressing up. There's more Halloween posts to come so keep an eye out for those! You can follow me on all my social medias at the bottom of the post.
I hope you have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,

New Release - Models Own GlitterGels

You could probably say I'm slightly obsessed with Models Own nail polishes and just recently they released 5 new colours in a new range called 'GlitterGel' so I've added them to my collection! In this post I thought I would share with you the new nail polishes and show you what they look like on some swatches.

I'm in love with all these colours. The collection includes

*Red Carpet
*Sheer Sparkle
*Crystal Pink
*Starburst
*Petunia Glitz

At the moment my favourite nail polish is Sheer Sparkle because it leaves a sparkle on your nail. I think I'll be wearing this colour and Red Carpet more around the time of Christmas because the colours remind me of Christmas. I really do love Crystal Pink which I use to put on top of other pink nail polish shades just to give it an extra bit of sparkle. Starburst is a great colour that has green/blue glitter in it. It's really sparkly and I'll definitely wear it on a night out and definitely include it in a spooky nail art. Petunia Glitz is a more brighter colour than the rest, it stands out more than the others. I think I would wear this colour more in the Summer but I may include it in some nail arts.

This is a great range. Have you tried any of these colours yet?

I hope you enjoyed this post. Halloween is just around the corner so Halloween related posts will be coming! Who's ready?!
I hope you have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,

My Autumn Look - Plum Lips

Autumn is my favourite time of the year. It's the most beautiful season, with so many colour changes that I just love it. With season change comes make up change, so that means it's acceptable to wear plummy lip colours and eyeshadows! In this post I will show you my plum lip make up look. The Autumn look happens to be a very popular post so I decided to join in and show you my Autumn look this season.

I used:
*Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream
*Make Up Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer
*Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation
*Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder
*Make Up Revolution Ultra Bronze Bronzer
*Make Up Revolution Highlighter
*Tanya Burr Hollywood Eyeshadow Palette
- Nude Delight
- Gold Coin
- Bookworm
*Models Own Eyeliner
*Make Up Revolution Amazing Volume Mascara
*Beauty Uk Lipstick Plumalicious

This is my complete Autumn look. I focused more on the lip colour as I love dark colour lips at this time of year. The gold coloured eyes gives a bright neutral effect making your eyes appear brighter and larger. Outlining your eyes gives more definition.

With make up also comes nail polish changes! I've had to say farewell to all my bright colours that I loved wearing throughout the Summer :( but a warm welcome to the Autumn nail polish colours! I've been trying the new Models Own Twilight collection and really loved this 'Loganberry' colour. It matches the Beauty Uk's Plumalicious lipstick which made it all a bit more exciting to wear.

The one other thing I love about Autumn is the clothing! I've recently put all my Summer clothes away and brought out all the Autumn/Winter clothing. I love all the wooley jumpers and scarves and all that! I'm really in love with this brown jumper that I recently got from Primark along with a couple of other colours.

Goodbye Summer! :(

What's your favourite thing about Autumn?

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Make sure you follow all the links below to keep updated and know when I've posted a new post!
I hope you have a wonderful day and I shall see you in my next post,

Maple Holistics Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I was contacted by Maple Holistics, a company based in the USA (sponsored by edumuch.comto try out some of their products. I was delighted to receive an email from them and I couldn't say no! As promised I will do a review on two of their products, giving 100% of my honest opinion. I hope you enjoy this review.

I chose the Hydrate Shampoo and the Silk 18 Conditioner to try as I thought these products would be ideal for my hair type.

All ingredients are 100% pure essential oils and are safe for colour treated hair. They use high quality ingredients and are hypoallergenic.

*Hydrate Shampoo
A shampoo for all you lavender lovers! I wasn't so keen on the lavender but it has so many benefits that I couldn't put it down. I made a post ages ago about my shower routine where I showed what I used in the shower. It definitely needs an update but basically the shampoo and conditioner that I mentioned in that post I've been using for forever and a day but recently I have started to notice that I have been getting a flakey scalp. I wasn't too sure what was causing it until I started using the Hydrate Shampoo and for a while I was clear from a flakey scalp, then recently I had a shower and forgot to bring these products with me so I had to use the ones that we normally use and I found myself with a flakey scalp again. This shampoo is ideal for people with dry hair or who have a flakey scalp as I have disovered for myself. Maple Holistics are very good about their products as they send little cards with details of the ingredients inside their  products, so for lavender it tells you that it softens the blemishes resulting from a dry scalp. 100% what I need. The shampoo also has Carrot and Parsley Seed in it which contains high levels of carotene to rejuvenate and regenerate skin tissues and also improves stimulation of cell growth, removes toxic build up in the skin and improves the skins complexion. It also has Silk Peptide as well which is a 100% natural skin protein. The superior moisture binding properties combine with the ability to penetrate deeply. On the bottle it tells you exactly what it does and tells you how to use it which is so handy.

*Silk 18 Conditioner
This conditioner is like no other. All conditioners claim to do the same thing to moisturise your hair but I've never felt my hair feel so nice after using this conditioner! The formula has a gentle conditioning platform which has no harmful additives, and is effective for all hair types. It also has eighteen silk amino acids in it as well as Botanical Keratin which helps to replenish keratin content for strong and healthy hair. After using this conditioner, I noticed a difference straight away, before when I wasn't using these products my wet hair just felt a bit rough but after using this conditioner it felt absolutely soft and full of life and it continued to feel this good until my next hair wash. It makes your hair feel so good and healthy.

After trying these two products from Maple Holistics, I'm definitely going to be trying more. I really want to try the Natural Winter Blend shampoo and conditioner as I want to be Winter ready with my hair! You can check out their other hair care products here. Definitely worth having a look. These two products have impressed me so much that I will definitely get them again. Put down your normal hair products and pick up some Maple Holistics products, you won't be disappointed! Your hair will feel soft and look healthy. What is also really good is that they are reasonably priced as well.

Thank you Maple Holistics for giving me the opportunity to try your products and write a post on them, I thank you for making my hair look absolutely beautiful and healthy. I hope you enjoyed my post. :)

I hope my readers enjoy this post as well and hopefully you will all try these products as you should always look after your hair and you'll be missing out.
Have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,
