December Favourites 2015

We are finally at the end of the year! How quickly has it gone!? Before I start my December Favourites I'd just like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for following my journey this year, from following and commenting and just being supportive for me. It means so much to me and I can see 2016 being a great blogging year! Thank you so much!

Here are my December Favourites...

*Yankee Candle Candy Cane Lane
This years Christmas candle was Candy Cane Lane. It smells absolutely delicious. Sadly I've never tried candy canes but if I ever got the chance to I would love to because this candle smells amazing!

*MUA Eyeshadow Palette
I started using the eyeshadow palette more, ever since I got it in the Glossybox. It's my go to palette for work. I've really been loving wearing Gild and Lion as they are the nice gold/neutral colours, which is perfect for this time of year.

*Tanya Burr Hollywood Eyeshadow Palette
I think I over use this product way to much haha. I'm just so in love with this palette. The colours are so pigmented and the packaging is so cute.

*Tanya Burr Aphrodite Lip Gloss
As it's been the season to be jolly, you know I've been loving the red lipstick and lip gloss lately. I adore this Aphrodite lip gloss for the simple fact its got a bit of sparkle to it and I love things that sparkle!

*Tanya Burr Berry Picking Lip Gloss
This is my favourite plum coloured lip gloss. It's perfect for evening dates or for the Winter in general. I'm in love with all the burgundy colours this season so having a matching lip gloss is perfect.

*Collection Illuminating Concealer
I've never been so impressed with a concealer. I bought it because I needed a new concealer because I was running out, but the one I originally use was sold out so I thought I'd try this one. It really does cover up redness! So glad I picked this one up.

*Dr Organic Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner
I've been having problems with my hair recently and found that this lavender shampoo and conditioner really puts your hair back in the right condition. Using supermarket branded shampoo, I found that my hair was just building up all this product and becoming very dry that it just started to become a nightmare. I decided to go with natural ingredients and use the lavender shampoo and conditioner, but don't worry if you're reading this and thinking that you want to try this as well but you're not a fan of lavender because the lavender isn't that empowering!

*Neutrogena Hand Cream
The thing that caught my eye about this product was because it looked Christmassy so I kind of had to buy it, because you need a Christmas hand cream during the Christmas period! It smells so nice and it's moisturising.

That's all my favourites for December this year. I still can't believe 2015 is coming to an end but I can't wait to see what 2016 brings us.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The Boxing Day Sales 2015

After Christmas everyone loves to grab themselves some bargains on Boxing Day. However for us, we like to do this on the 27th of December. You could say not a lot of stuff is left over, but there is still a lot of things in the sale, and here's what I managed to pick up in Next and House of Fraser...

*Apricot Blossom Fragranced Candle - £5.00 from Next
Although it wasn't in the sale, I decided to purchase this candle. For one reason it looks pretty and for another reason it smells absolutely gorgeous I just can't stop smelling it. This was definitely not a planned buy and it was only £5.00!

*Umbrella Ring Holder£3.00 from Next
The most adorable ring holder I've seen. There was quite a lot of these going around in the Next store and I probably won't even use it as a ring holder. It makes a cute decoration as itself anyway.

*Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette - £35.00 from House of Fraser
I finally managed to get my hands on an Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette! I decided to choose the Smoky one as I've been wanting it for quite some time so the best time to buy it would be the sales!

*Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette - £36.00 from House of Fraser
I'm so happy to finally own this palette! It's so beautiful and I'm so glad I got it in the sales. Look how amazing it is!

*Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer - £8.00 from House of Fraser
Just so my eyeshadow lasts longer.

*Models Own HyperGel Set - £10.00 from House of Fraser
I have no shame! More colours!
- Blue Glint
- Naked Glow
- Red Lustre
- Purple Glare
- Lilac Sheen
- Coral Glaze
- Pink Veneer
- Cerise Shine

I also managed to pick up a Bunny fluffy pj jumper for £15 at Next as well.

And that's what I managed to pick up in the Boxing Day Sales.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
Have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,

Blogmas Day 24 - Christmas Eve OOTD and Makeup

Blogmas Day 24!!! It's officially Christmas and I'm really excited!
It's also the last day of Blogmas but I will be posting a few times before the end of December.
In today's post I thought I'd share with you a 'get ready with me' post Christmas Eve edition.

Christmas Eve is always a busy day for me. I wake up reasonably early and have to write a list for what needs to be done for the day, from delivering cards to wrapping the last few presents, the day gets overly busy. I have Christmas songs blaring loudly in my car as well so it definitely gets me in the mood for Christmas whilst being stuck in the Christmas Eve traffic.

For my makeup I used...
*Revlon Photo Ready Primer
*Revlon Photo Ready Airbrush Effect Foundation in Ivory
*Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer
*Collection Pressed Powder 01 Candlelight
*Smashbox 3 in 1
- Eyebrows - Soft Brown and Taupe

*Tanya Burr Hollywood Eyeshadow Palette

*L'Oreal Paris Super Liner in black

*Earrings - New Look and Clarie's Accessories

For nails...

I decided to put false nails on to make them longer as my nails are quite short at the moment. I decided to go with the Models Own Diamond Deluxe Marquise Maroon nail colour. As I was busy today I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my nails properly but whilst I was shopping round Fenwicks, I saw this white towel in the towel section with really good lighting so I managed to get a photo of my nails finally haha.

So every year on Christmas Eve we like to go to the City of Canterbury. It's a beautiful city, especially at Christmas. This year, due to being busy we managed to catch the last hour of Christmas shopping and had a walk around the Cathedral garden where the human sized nativity is. After that we went to or favourite restaurant Cafe Rouge. It was a lovely evening, definitely feeling really Christmassy now.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas! I can't believe Blogmas is over :( I've had so much fun doing it and I'm proud that I managed to blog throughout the 24 days!

Merry Christmas Guys! See you in my next post,

Blogmas Day 22 - Plans for 2016

Blogmas Day 22! I'm talking about the New Year already and it hasn't been Christmas yet! I still can't get my head around the fact that 2015 is  nearly over  but it's been a good year and I hope 2016 is as well.

At the start of 2015 I made a Jar of Memories DIY (here) and looking back and reading over it now makes me laugh as I can tell I've become better at blogging, but to my point, I can't wait to open the jar and read all the memories that happened in 2015 and reminisce over them. I'll probably make another memory jar for 2016 as well so I have something fun to look forward to at the end of the year, but lets not think too far ahead of ourselves.
In 2016 I want to focus on blogging more. It's something that I'm serious about and have my heart set on. I'd love to go to blogging events and meet other bloggers and get friendly with them because I never got the chance to this year. If blogging became my job that would be amazing for me.
Also in 2016, I would like to travel more, even if it's just a trip to a town or city an hour or two away from where I live, I'd love to explore the country a bit more. I'd also love to travel abroad to see what the world has to offer and of course I'd love to blog about it!
I've made New Years resolutions this year that I will be posting in tomorrow's post. I don't normally do resolutions but this year I've decided to and hopefully stick to them.
I hope 2016 is a really good year for everyone. I'll have more things planned during the year but these are my main focuses that I want to do in 2016.

Have a lovely day and I shall see you in tomorrow's post,

England has only known seven white Christmases in the twentieth century.

Fact Number 2
34 to 36 million Christmas trees are produced for the Christmas period.

Fact Number 3
Jingle Bells also known as One-Horse Open Sleigh was written for Thanksgiving and not Christmas.

Fact Number 4
Many parts of the Christmas Tree can be eaten as it's a good source of Vitamin C.

Fact Number 5
Japanese people traditionally eat KFC for Christmas dinner. It's so popular that customers have to place orders 2 months in advance! Crazy!

Blogmas Day 20 - Bedroom Decorations

Blogmas Day 20! Wow we are really on a roll with only 5 days to go until Christmas!
In today's post I thought I'd share with you the decorations I have in my bedroom.

This is my Christmas tree that sits on my nightstand beside my bed. It's 3ft tall and I got it from Asda for £5 and it came with lights already on it, now that's what you call a bargain! I chose white because all my furniture is pretty much white. I chose gold baubles as I really love white and gold together. The baubles are chrome, matte and glittery. Next to it of course is my Christmas book.

My head board is wrapped with silver tinsel and fairy lights. All year round my bed has the fairy lights but this year for Christmas I decided to add a bit of tinsel. I wanted to match the tinsel to match the baubles on the tree but I found that the gold tinsel was too much of a yellow gold and wouldn't look great so I went for silver. It matches my grey theme going on in my room. My walls tend to change colour in certain lighting. In pure day light they are a light grey almost white colour and in the evening light you can see more of  the grey.

Above my bed I have this small shelf with 3 canvas photos on it. I purchased this silver 'Merry Christmas' bunting, to go with the tinsel and tree, and decided to hang it on the shelves above my bed. My dream catcher will always remain where it's hanging.

And of course, you have to have a Christmas teddy on your bed to make it that extra bit Christmassy. He/She doesn't have a name yet but if you have any ideas let me know!

I hope you enjoyed my post

Blogmas Day 18 - Christmas Jumper Day

Blogmas Day 18! I absolutely adore Christmas Jumper Day and this year I decided to invest in a new Christmas jumper and of course share it with you guys. I feel like I don't have enough Christmas jumpers so I may have to invest in some more in the Christmas sales so I can have more for next year!

This year I decided to purchase a simple Christmas jumper. I got this jumper from Tesco for £16.00. It was a quick last minute buy as it was last minute decision to have a different Christmas jumper this year. I love how it says 'Holly Jolly Xmas' and has sequined candy cane and holly. Simple but still Christmassy.

I love going somewhere on Christmas jumper day and everyone is wearing their jumpers. I love the atmosphere of it.

I hope you enjoyed this post :) What's your Christmas jumper look like?

Blogmas Day 17 - DIY Candle Jar

Blogmas Day 17! In today's post I thought I would share with you this DIY that I saw on Pinterest, that inspired me so I tried it myself. It wasn't as easy as it looked but it was worth doing in the end.

What you'll need...
*A Jar or Glass (any kind)
*Glass Paint
*Snow Spray
*Tea Light Candle

It depends how you want to decorate your jars. I did a Christmas one as a tester to see how it would turn out on a little glass. It turned out okay but I wasn't so sure about it. I then decided to do the New York City Skyline. It was more effective.

How To Do This...

*Clean the Jar or Glass with polish or rubbing alcohol to get rid of any dirt or smears.

*Print out a silhouette of a Town or City or anything you'd like to go around your jar or glass.

*Depending on how big your jar or glass is you may need to cut your silhouette out to fit it inside the glass. I had to do this for the Christmas village one I made but the NYC skyline I didn't need to.

*With a permanent marker pen draw the outline of your town/city. Be sure to add in windows as this makes it effective when the candle light shines through.

*Using black glass paint, paint the entire buildings/houses black. Make sure you wait for the paint to completely dry before using it. I left mine over night to dry.

*Once the jar was all dried I took the jar to a well ventilated area (the garden) and sprayed the bottom of the jar in snow spray so it would look like snow on the ground. I then brought the can further away from the jar and sprayed the snow around the jar to create a blizzard effect on the jar. I also added a red dot using the glass paints, on top of The Empire State building. I let that dry for a couple of hours.

*Add and light your candle and you're done!

Cute and effective DIY for Christmas. I hope you like it :)
Why not give this DIY a go?

I hope you have a lovely day and I shall see you in tomorrow's post,
